7-9 July 2006 will be one of my most memorable ATCs that i've been to. my heart was half-hearted before i first entered this camp. not knowing what to expect, i brought alot of study materials which i didnt really actually touch. i was with michael throughout this camp and he was named my "camp buddy" because of his fractured leg. we never went anywhere without each other. i worked with him also to come up with new initiatives, which i finally hope that will pull through after all these years, and mr lim approved of them!! i also saw dawn. she's a CI now. my superior. ironically, i never uttered a single word to her. not even a good evening ma'am. dickson and benjamin, i spoke to them when they reported sick on the second day. got to know how they feel, their dreams, what they wish to do. second evening, the campfire was the best i've been to in all ATCs because the HK JPC was there together with our GOH ms geraldine tan. second night, when my buddies were all asleep i went to the canteen to study, ma'am azrin cried cause something happened in her family. i wrote her a note, she was touched. third day, when all campers an CIs were doing orienteering, the cchms HO and i had to carry all the bags into the foyer. we saw this melamine plate and he went, "what the... why did he even bring this for?" the way he sounded made me laugh. on our way home, i led 2 units to the jetty. along the way, we found another more scenic route where we can take. upon arriving at the jetty, st pat's chanted the war path. upon reaching singapore, some of us rushed to changi village hawker centre where we had our most "civilised" meal in days.
i saw the faces of cadets - separated by the fact that were going to be separated again. then i saw myself standing in their shadows because that's how i'm feeling.what we do in dreams, he do in reality. sometimes you fall before you fly. sometimes you laugh when you should cry.
st pat's on the warpath!
i feel so close to my goals right now that i just want to do everything so smoothly. i just woke up again, knowing that i've got a mission. now that i'm winded. i should finish what i had started off. my studies, npcc, council and most of all the things i do in class. i don't know what am i going to say to jacqueline because i really want her to be right beside me, sharing my joys with me.
everything's so different now.
XyeThesis`we all crossed each others paths. although i'm never going to be sure whether i'll get to see all of you again, somewhere, somehow, i know that we were all interconnected like hearts intertwined.
