As i look back on the times when i cried for my unit because of the things that i could not do, i now look at my teacher officers facing the heat from the principal, asking us to win an award. The stress that they experience left one of my teacher officers pending on a transfer. it's been really sad to see the unit to be in this stage. yesterday, i heard mr adrian ng telling the sec 3s with the sec 4s standing behind, "i judge the capabilities of a squad of ncos by the legacy they leave behind, which is the next batch of ncos they train". i found myself looking at the sec 4s - standing tall and proud. then i asked myself, were they my legacy? because i dont train ncos to be tall and proud.
i stood there like kira did. with his hair fluttering in the wind, looking down.
i saw mr ng cj yesterday and he gave me a hug telling me that he loved me and i was such an incredible kid. thing is, i know that he always wanted a teachers day where teachers are not involved in the planning. i decided to give him that gift this year and took the whole project as it is. i smiled, because i got to work with the other boards, and also finally make nr ng happy.
i always meet failure on my way to success
i want to inspire. as i look upon my juniors, they are depending on me like a captain of the army, leading them into war - but from the way they look, it seemed as if that i am the one that can keep them alive. commitment. to a soldier, it's like going up a hill, not knowing on what's the other side. to a marathoner, it's like running another 10 km, when all your strength is gone.
"heart" is what separates the good from the great.
kendra. what can i say? i finally know why i like her. it's because she's simple. something that sarah also had. that's why i was willing to change... but right now, nothing's more important than studies...
